I took part in one of the first exchanges that you did and enjoyed it so much ^.^
ReplyDeleteI might try the schools exchange if I can get my son's school interested.

I LOVE this idea, and now am telling everyone I know to sign up!!!
ReplyDeleteWe just signed up for our first swap. This is such a wonderful idea. We are from Guatemala but live in the USA so my children will not only be learning about other cultures around the world but also about their native country as we put together the packages. Can't wait! :) Thanks for putting this together. :)
ReplyDeleteI just stumbled upon your page via Pinterest. What an amazing idea, I am going to have to do some thinking on what I would put into one. And talk to my family and see if they want to participate. I don't think it will be hard to convince them. Best Wishes from Portland, Oregon USA
ReplyDeleteLove the idea because I am in the process of trying to create continent boxes among other pieces of a homeschool curriculum!
ReplyDeleteGreat site ! So far I've participated in two of your programs : the worldwide culture swap and the penpal program and I love both ! The concept is just great and the job you're doing is just amazing (matching people really well and really quickly !)!. Thank you so much for offering us this wonderful opportunitie to open our children'minds and ours too to the world !
ReplyDeleteGreat site ! I've participated in two programs so far : the worldwide culture swap and the penpal program, and I love both ! Bravo then and above all thank you very much for offering us the incredible opportunitie to open our children'minds (and ours too) to the world !
ReplyDeleteLove this! Home schooling and no next to nothing about geography. What a fun way to learn with the kids!!
ReplyDeleteMy sister in law just passed this site along to me. We've already signed up and are looking forward to exchanging packages with other families. What a great hands-on way to experience a little more of the world. Our boys can't wait to start putting our packages together for the other families and to mail them-how fun! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI came across your site through a blog. I currently teach Pre-K at a Day Care, however I am working towards my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I grew up in Utah, however my Grandmother immigrated to the US in 1954 from East Germany. My mother instilled in me, and my siblings, a love and respect for other cultures and countries. During my second year as a Pre-K teacher, my brother lived in China and I was able to receive information from his family about life in China for my class but your Culture Swap is exactly what I wanted to do with my class! :) I believe the best way, and possibly only way, to achieve World Peace is to learn about one another and respect one another. Thank you ladies for setting this up! What a wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteI haven't participated yet as I've just found you but this is genius. Love it and I'm looking forward to learning more about others! Love the setup you've got too.

Oh the excitement! We have just received our first parcel from Ohio, USA and it is fabulous. A lot of work has gone into it and we will post pictures soon. Many thanks to the Shardell Family.
ReplyDeleteWe just signed up today, and we are very excited about this project. We are a homeschooling family with two daughters. My husband and I are attorneys. We spend part of the year in Frenchtown, New Jersey, and part in Sedona, Arizona. We travel as much as possible. We spend about two months a year on the road somewhere, using Sedona or Frenchtown as a starting point.
ReplyDeleteWe are looking forward to getting to know some of you!
Thanks to all those who set this up and contribute.
